Endodontist Stephen H. Speck, DDS and Gabriel Slavescu, DDS

Dr. Stephen Speck earned his undergraduate BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. In 1996, Dr. Speck changed careers and entered into one of the leading dental schools in the country, the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio earning a DDS degree.  After dental school, he also completed a residency to advance his general dentistry skills at  the University of Texas Health Science center in Houston, Texas.  He then joined the Air Force as a General Dentist.  In 2005 he was selected by the Air Force to attend the 2-year Postdoctoral Graduate Endodontic Residency Program at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Speck is married to his lovely wife Christine, who was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. They have four beautiful children: Kimberly, Julian, Whitney, Tanker, and two grandchildren: Malakai and Braden.  Dr. Speck and his wife enjoy fishing, boating and beach recreation.

Endodontist Gabriel Slavescu, DDS

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Gabriel Slavescu has joined our practice, bringing with him over 26 years of specialized experience in endodontics and a deep commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Dr. Slavescu earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry, where he also completed advanced postgraduate training in endodontics. His clinicalexpertise spans a full spectrum of endodontic procedures, including root canal therapy and apicoectomy, always performed with the highest standards of precision and care.

Known for his patient-centered approach, Dr. Slavescu combines clinical excellence with a personal touch, taking time to build trust and ensure comfort throughout each step of treatment. He is passionate about providing uncompromising care in a supportive, welcoming environment.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Slavescu serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at NYU Dental, where he mentors and educates future dental professionals. He remains actively involved in the broader dental community through memberships in the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and the American Dental Association (ADA), reflecting his dedication to lifelong learning and professional growth.

Beyond the office, Dr. Slavescu enjoys playing tennis and values the importance of a balanced, active lifestyle.
